I had pretty bad lower back pain vert early on in my pregnancy (like 4-5 weeks) along with cramping like period cramps & the backache that I would get with period, and then after the week or so passed of when I was actually supposed to have my period it went away. Now I am 25 weeks and by the end of the day my whole back is pretty uncomfortable.

Another form of back pain is Sciatica. Sciatica is commonly related to disc herniation. This is when the spine disc's are pressing on the nerve. The symptoms include a burning sensation, numbness, or tingling radiating from the lower back and upper buttock down the back of the thigh to the back of the leg. Sciatica is diagnosed with a physical exam. The most common symptoms and examination help the health-care practitioner diagnose sciatica. Sometimes, X-rays, films, and other tests, such as CT scan and MRI scan are used to define the exact causes of sciatica.
The best way to help this pain is to walk...

In addition to those natural methods, you could augment the back pain regimen with an herbal lotion. I've found one that really helps my family and I. It has analgesic herbs to relieve the pain, nerve quelling herbs to get the irritated nerves to relax, and herbs to get the skeletal muscles to relax. Also, it has some herbs to repair damage that may be causing the pain. The herbal decoction is turned into a lotion and put in a cool roll-on bottle so you don't get it all over your hands when you put it on. It's called Back & Neck Relief and I got it from Nature's Rite. My kids like it for Football and Wrestling injuries. I like it for after I go skiing and my back hurts. My wife uses it on her neck to relieve tension headaches. It's good stuff.

None of those are going to do anything for otitis media, which is a middle ear infection, and probably what you have. If Ibuprofen, or aspirin doesn't relieve the pain, you may have to be examined and hope to get prescription for something stronger. In the meantime, you can try Valsalva maneuver to try to open the eustachian tubes and drain any exudate. You hold your nose and close your mouth and blow, trying to create pressure to "pop" your ears. You can also take a decongestant to try to limit the fluid in the ear cavity,

I have used a hot wet towel (as hot as you can stand) laid over my ear. Leave it there until it has cooled. I have heard of using a hair dryer to blow warm air into the ear.

You can also use Sweet Oil to sooth the pain. You can get it at the pharmacy, health store or WalMart. You warm it to body temperature, under your arm, them put a few drops in the ear.

Hope you get to feeling better. If not, I'd go on to the doctor.

Please, DO NOT WAIT to go to the ER. I, myself, waited when I had minor pain in my ears. My regular doctors didn't even see anything...supposedly. The next night, I was crying in my bed because of pain in my ear. I went to the ER and it turns out, I had Double Otitis Media, which is an infection of the Middle Ear, both left and right. It was more on the left, so they recorded it as Left Acute Otitis Media, but it progressed to a Double Ear Infection. If an ear infection is left untreated, it could lead to a brain infection, which could kill you. That is one of the most rarest occurrences, since most people have a doctor attend to their health concerns and problems. However, self-neglect can lead to the infection.

As for your pain, there are ear drops that numb the inside of your ear, which are completely harmless. I think the ear drops may be prescription only, though. The ER doctors prescribed me an antibiotic medicine and I'm pretty sure those ear drops. If they weren't prescribed, then it was the doctors who told me to pick them up for the pain. Believe me, if it weren't for those ear drops, I would have had to stay in the hospital for a while because the pain was UNBEARABLE. I do not remember the name, but if you go to your local Pharmacy, I'm sure they will be able to help you.

Basically, you put about two drops into your ear. Then, right around your auditory canal, you rub your finger gently in front of the pinna (the rubbing helps to move the drops deeper into your ear canal). The drops provide instant relief and helped me to relax and go to sleep.

Also, the doctors recommended that I take Tylenol in compliance with the antibiotics and the ear drops. In around five days, my ear infections were completely gone.

Hope this helps and please to go see a doctor, before the pain gets worse!

*Note: If it were a build up of ear wax, you would be able to use your pinky finger to remove the wax and any pressure and/or pain would be gone (my ear, nose, and throat specialist told me this; he said the pinky is around the exact size of how far you should go into your ear...basically, close to your pinky finger cuticle). Also, recurring pain is a sign of an ear infection, so you need to seek medical attention, soon. Another sign is sometimes muffled sound because of the liquid and build-up inside of your ear. Also, you may feel pressure in your sinuses and throat. Lastly, you may feel slight pain around your upper jaw.

Wow...never hold your nose, while simultaneously closing your mouth and blowing...you could in fact damage your ear drums. You're not supposed to do that normally, so doing it with an ear infection will only make it worse. The PROPER and SAFE way to open up your Eustachian Tubes is to either swallow or yawn multiple times.

You may have a buildup of wax in your ears. You can get some ear wax softener that comes with a little syringe. After a couple days use, maybe three, when you are taking a hot shower, cup your hand and catch some of the water in it, fill the syringe and squirt the water inside the ear and lean to that side and let it run out. If that is the problem, the ear should feel better with no pain. You can also lay on a warm heating pad for about 15 to twenty minutes. You could also have an inner ear infection which antibiotics prescribed will clear that condition. When I was younger, my Father used to blow cigarette smoke in my ear. It wasn't the smoke that helped, it was his warm breathe. Heating pads are used today. Best to you young lady and good luck on finding out what's causing you the pain, and that it goes away, never to return. PS I hope you are not using Q-tips or bobbie pins to stick in your canal trying to clan them out. Those things will scratch the ear canal and become infected.

Tylenol,,, the only other deal would be to try some heat,,,, you probably have an infection in your ear canal (swimmers ear),, they sell medicine for it at any drug store or wal-nart,,, but here are two links that may help you

or here is a home remedy site that is cool

Pain is a symptom not a condition. She needs to figure out what is causing the pain and stop that. She could be undertreating something serious.

Depends on the pain. There is pepper juice in a tube that's supposed to help. (capsaicin), and just googled it as "pepper juice for pain" and it came up with recipes u can make at home.
Peoplespharmacy.com just had an article about concentrated cherry juice, and for arthritis you can soak 15 golden raisins in gin and eat them daily..........lots of great stuff.

I would recommend getting an opinion from an ear, nose, and throat doctor about this abscess to see what could also be some good options for dealing with this abscess.

Glucosamine products for humans are available as two forms - glucosamine hydrochloride and glucosamine sulfate. While the two forms are similar in how they work in the body, they differ in their purity and sodium content.

The glucosamine hydrochloride form is a more pure form, containing 99% glucosamine and is sodium-free. The sulfate form, on the other hand is only 80% pure glucosamine as it contains about 20% sodium (needed as a preservative). This means you would need more of the sulfate form than the hydrochloride form to provide the same amount of glucosamine, the active ingredient.

There are glucosamine products available specifically designed for pets and usually have a yummy flavor making it easier to give to the animal!

Before starting any kind of supplimentation the dog's vet should be contacted to make sure this is ok for the dog.

The best pain relief is breathing. Childbirth is painful and hard work but it is not impossible or undoable, Women have been giving birth to children for thousand of yrs without pain medication or IV's. Having a needle free birth although is hard ... is not impossible. Regardless of drug or divise it is going to hurt. But you are strong and you can do it without either. Make sure your DR knows your plan and dont let them push stuff on you. You CAN do it!

I gave birth to my son after 36hrs of med free labour. He was 9lbs 4 1/2oz and i would do it again in a heartbeat! It was hard but it was in impossible and it has an end. It was only 36hrs and it was over and that was a long time. Just keep saying to yourself it has an end, You arnt living with it for the rest of your life, it's just a few hrs.

You can do it! Learn to breath properly and it is much easier. Good luck!!
